Las palabras inmigración y separación de familias han inundado nuestro consciente en las últimas semanas. Tanto así, que la tensión e desconfianza nos han llevado a información excesivamente equivocada. Es por esto que decidí contactar a colegas y expertos sobre el tema de derechos humanos e inmigración. Aquí esta una parte de lo que encontré y quiero compartirles. Lean:

ACLARANDO MITOS

TEMA: LA ORDEN EJECUTIVA PARA LOS NINOS SEPARADOS DE SUS FAMILIAS

El presidente firmo una orden ejecutiva de 20-dias que parar la separación de familias durante esos 20 días. Como yo lo entiendo, la orden ejecutiva no sostiene ninguna autoridad significativa. Lo más significante, no aplica a los niños que ya están detenidos.

¡La orden ejecutiva del presidente no es ninguna ganancia para todos los miles de niños que han estado viviendo por semanas separados de sus padres! El gobierno de los Estados Unidos hasta este punto no tiene en sus planes reunir a los niños con sus padres. El gobierno DICE que es una tarea demasiado difícil para intentar llegar a los niños que ya fueron enviados a docenas de ciudades en el país. Un oficial del gobierno hablo al aire sobre la casi imposibilidad de reconectar a esos niños sin tener que hacer un número demasiado alto de llamadas para tratar de encontrarles.

Esta orden solo quiere aparentar cubrir por danos que ya sucedieron. Claro, tendría que ser que el gobierno no tenía intenciones de mantener a estos niños de por vida. Tendría que haber un plan de seguimiento. Se presume que el gobierno ingreso todos los nombres de los niños y coordenadas a un registro en la computadora cuando estaba en el proceso de quitarlos niños de sus familias. El presumir/ creer lo contrario sería el aceptar que el gobierno buscaba un resultado en el que todos los niños fuesen dejados intencionalmente a defenderse por sí mismos. “Que se pierdan.”

The word immigration and family separation have flooded our consciousness in the past few weeks. In fact, the tension and disbelief have led to an incredible amount of misinformation. I decided to reach out to colleagues who are experts on the topic of human rights and immigration. Here is what I have found out and I want to share with you. Take a read:

CLARIFYING MYTHS

TOPIC: The Executive order for the Children Separated from their Families

Explanation by: Rita Maran International Expert for Human Rights

The President issued a 20-day Executive Order to stop separating families during those 20 days. As I understand it, the Executive Order holds no significant authority. More significantly, it does not apply to children already in detention.

The President’s Executive Order is no win at all for the thousands of children who have been living for weeks apart from their parents! The U.S. Government so far has no plan on the books to reunite those children with their parents. The government claims it would be too daunting a task to attempt to reach kids who have already been sent to live in dozens of locations around the country. A government official spoke on the air about the near-impossibility of re-connecting those children without an overwhelming number of phone calls to try to trace them.
This executive order is an apparent remedy for damage already done.  Surely the government did not intend to hold those children for life. There must have been a follow-up plan. Presumably, the government entered all children’s names and coordinates into a computer registry when it was in the process of taking them away from their families. To presume otherwise would be to accept that the government sought an outcome in which all the children would intentionally be left to fend for themselves. “Get lost”
